Abstract

The rapid growth of electric vehicles has created a demand for efficient energy management systems capable of improving driving range and reducing charging dependency. This paper presents a smart dual battery management system integrated with solar and generator-assisted charging for electric vehicles. The proposed system utilizes two battery units, where one battery supplies power to the vehicle while the other undergoes charging through renewable and auxiliary sources. An intelligent control unit continuously monitors battery parameters such as voltage, temperature, and state of charge, enabling automatic switching between batteries. The integration of solar energy and a motor- driven generator enhances energy efficiency and ensures continuous vehicle operation. The system aims to reduce downtime, extend battery life, and promote sustainable transportation solutions.
